Adding a domain to a cpanel host

Cpanel hosting plan.

Auto-Transcript for accessibility follows.
Okay this is a quick video on how to add a domain to your cpanel hosting, basically you need to give it a name which I’ve called this one basic and then you need to define the maximum number of each of the resources that will be available to any of the domains that are created with this package so if I create a new domain under the package basic it will be allowed five FTP accounts five e-mail accounts five mysql databases as a maximum number now finds pretty much going to be enough most of the time you only use one or two of these some of zero okay so set them up as five if you need to set up another one with 10 or more leave the CGI access ticket only take front-page extensions if you know you’re going to need it the quota is the megabytes disk space that will be available to the website now how much depends on what you’re going to put on your website if you’re going to store lots of big files for downloading or something like that you may need to make more space available. The bandwidth is how much bandwidth will be available for visitors and surfers visiting the site each month, then we have the cPanel theme the default here is free blue and I am going to change this to ex or ex two in fact they tend to be the most commonly used themes so is the most familiar for me and easiest to use they are also the ones were used for most add-on scripts okay so that’s that is all you need to do to add a new package and click on add I’m not going to because I’ve already added this one previously so once you’ve clicked on add and it’s all gone through and said yes the package has been added, you then need to scroll back up and go to create new account, I’m going to quickly filling some of the details here as it’s fairly simple stuff obviously put in a domain name itself, you don’t need HTTP or www.so just a domain name, put in a username before the domain that can be up to eight characters normally put in your password do make sure you remember your username and password is obviously username you can see quite easily later on but the password you can’t so keep a record of that. I use Robo form to keep a record of mine, very useful. The rest of the details you will notice there unlimited at the moment that’s because I haven’t selected the package, if I scroll down you’ll see we’ve got the package here if I actually choose that one we set up earlier basic it will go through and put in the quota and all the limits for me. And the theme okay so very quick and easy to fill it in just by choosing the package and is having that set up, put in a contact e-mail address for that particular domain. It is often best to use your main e-mail address so that the details were set up will be sent to you so that you do have a copy of the password and things like okay, make sure the name servers have been changed, obviously I did an earlier video for how to change your name servers and that’s it click on create and that will create that particular domain on your cPanel hosting once it’s finished that the main set up your the screen like this with all the stuff ticked so that you can see it has been completed it says at the bottom account creation completed. That’s it it’s not that difficult to actually set up a new domain on the cPanel host, very quick and easy to do if you liked that video there are more videos on things like changing name servers all sorts of extra bits and pieces on the mat for.com just go to the videos to a okay Cheers.
